Yes, not looking good. I also read there are miles and miles of cargo boats just set to the side. God forbid there is a hurricane, or typhoon!

Sure is boring...Where the old good days went? Some years ago getl***** was on fireworks; one post went on for several days, 30 something pages of 300 hot replies!
Those were the days! Come to think of it - only maybe 5 people are left from those times. All today's names are new or relatively new.

A few bully-types have taken over that place. If you aren't the right political party for them they will dog you, until you quit posting, and move on. Or if they just don't like you. Oh well, such is life. What is most disappointing was when the 'regulars", old-timers, didn't say ANYTHING. NOW look how fun it is

How many of these "old-timers" are actually left on the other board? I was just thinking about this....going back to the year 2000
Only very few names remained from that Year:
Ms. Paz Donna ScreamingEagle Pam(she quit the board recently, but still trucking) Flip Me.... Not sure about "Dice" and "Mike"
That makes 6 persons!
This is giving me a chill...sad chill, that so many people came and go...

You forgot me....were still here......but actually I did not come around until 2004...so I guess I am still a young en. Glad I am young at something anyhow......lol.
Many others are still around too...but not over there...Jen, Kristine, Suz, and Bonnie is doing the car hauling thingie.
Of course I have went through many many changes through the years. We started on our own....and then leased on with a company that lets us run or business our way and I have broker authority...the bad thing is that all of my customers are still on layoffs.
Just recently hubby leased on to someone else in specialized equipment and is running a Curtain-side Flatbed...staying pretty busy too. I just signed on as an agent at another company and have some brokered freight through them now and we have two trucks running for us under the first company I agent for. Were not burning up the roads or anything up but staying nicely busy...hubby is gone longer now......but it is the way it has to be.
I have been seeing some pretty decent Van freight.....and paying the trucks way more decent than most of the brokers. Both companies have excellent credit scores so the loads always get moved with no problems.....
I'm telling you the truckers rock...........when I have to call another truck....... I have never had one issue with any of them.
So were still here for the time being...........the truck is almost paid for..........called last month and the balance is $11,500 from $77,000. So I am pretty happy about that. Such a very bad year and I can't wait until it is paid off. I have no idea how we have managed. Much nail biting and working with creditors to no end.
We all just keep trying and trying....but Anna I have seen many many dear friends leave. Lesa, and Debbie in NJ, and my friend Chris here in Ohio. I used to talk to all of these people at least weekly and miss them dearly. I still talk with them all...just not as much as I would like to. They do not like to be reminded about trucking and all are thankful they are now out of it.
