So how was everyone xmas? I hope everyone got what they asked for! >:(The reason why I am pissed is because my husband got 2 lobsters from my brother, well my husband cooked them outside in the turkey fryer, using water of course. Well this morning he took the meat out of the shell in MY kitchen. He got pissed because I moved all my nick knacks off the shelves and moved everything away from the sink and I said "oh I should take down the valance" Well he got pissy and said throw the lobsters away and I told him I would sell it before throwing them away. He shelled the things in MY kitchen, do you know how much of a mess a 17 lb lobster makes, the other lobster was 14 lbs. Husband did "some what so called " clean up the mess and plus I had to dust before putting the nick Knack back. I just had to vent. Maybe I wouldn't be so pissed if I like sea food. Why didn't he shell them in his garage,it is clean out there and when someone has a clam bake it is out side, right?

I was telling hubby about them yesterday and how big they were.
He said something about all you eat is the tail, there's not enough meat anywhere else to mess with. I said, "Umm, well no, not up there!"
I then explained how your hubby cooks them outside and then brings them into the kitchen, puts them in the sink and breaks up the shell with a hammer. And of course bits are flying everywhere. Hubby says, "Humph."
I can understand you wanting to move all of your stuff out of the way.
Just be thankful he cooks the things outside! Can you imagine what your house would smell like?
I remember when he was busting one up while we were up there. Even though I don't have a nose for *hit the smell of that lobster there in the kitchen was enough to send me out of there.
Can the rest of you tell I can't stand seafood either? ;D

The ex usually tries to be away from the house when he cooks them like she was this time. I don't think I could take it either.

That was happening to me too. I was using Internet Explorer at the time, and switched over to the other browser, Firefox, and didn't have any problem. I don't know why it quit, I don't know IF it was IE?? But I'm on Firefox right now, no problem. That was hours ago too, I took a little "nap", lol. I thought maybe it was the ads causing it, that were flashing?

Patricia and SixpaxkBil, have you downloaded Firefox Mozilla? If not, you ought to try it. Im still learning to mauever some things i dont have down pat, and have to fall back on IE. Like today, i couldnt watch a video someone had posted, had to finally give in and download adobe something. No harm to the puter. It also doesnt act up on me, like IE does! THAT was getting real old, all those microsoft popups, and shutting me down! I havent talked or emailed jimmy about the movement but i will later, trying to do something with a yuck! pot of chicken:(
Something about it screaming in the pot before i cooked it....

This is a friend holding up the fresh lobsters This is them cooked. One was 17lbs and the other was 14 lbs and I was told that they were nice and tender not mushy. Look at the size difference compared to my hand.

That pic was taken on my mother porch. My mother loves to decorate for all holidays, not only Christmas, New Years Presidents day, Mother & Fathers day, Easter, Halloween, 4th of July and even first day of school, any holiday, she will find a reason to decorate. A birthday or if you are sick she will bake you a cake, it never ends and she is 71 yrs old too boot.

It sounds like she just likes to celebrate Life! You are fortunate to have a mother like that. Bless her in these later years.

Damn big azz lobster....will never get one of those at Red Lobster!
I remember back during the 60's my father used bring home Alaskan King Crab legs that were 6 feet long and as big around as your wrist. Good eatting and you can't get them that big anymore.

Hubby wants Alaskan king crab legs and I said to him"does that mean we would have to go to Alaska"? Thanking that I was going to get a trip out of the deal. Realiablej I am with you on the Eeeeeewwwww and gross part and now you see why I was mad, but he was very neat when he was taking out the meat of the "lobsta". Plus I think it helped taking down all the nick knacks around the sink.
