HB, are you talking about GL? Did you make a large payment to 'save' money? OSP, I can't imagine?

yes, GL...we decided to stay and add more users and go with the pay in full option...well, there is a TON of stuff they forgot to disclose to us when setting up the additional users. We made a business decision based on the information we had, and based on what fit our needs...I know that the changes they were making don't fit everyone's needs, and I personally thought we should have cancelled from the beginning but its not my company...so...we stayed on...but now we are cancelling...after a very heated conversation with member services! Oh, and I have made lumpy mistakes too!! One is about 240 lbs...but that is another post...

They were charging for extra users and stuff, but you couldn't see what loads were created on your sub accounts...they never would tell us the actual amount they were going to charge as a pro-rated amount for the sub accounts...stuff like that. Then they were pretty rude about it, so we cancelled our service. No real loss...we get more hits on ITS anyway.

It looks like a lot of the staff didn't even know what the changes would be, to those that called in. Lots of confusion.
I give GL a year, before they close those doors.

I called them yesterday about a few things myself. She was very apologetic about what has happened. I told her to save the crap as I had already talked with Eddie a couple of weeks ago and he told me that the truck search will not be coming back. She also told me the reason they took the search away was because of the amount of double brokering going on. What a lame excuse as I believe it still goes on everyday. My sub runs out on Feb 16th and I will not renew, Eddie sent me a PM in response to mine and also said he hates to see me leave, but good luck to me. In other words basically he also told me they have just as many people signing up as they have leaving, HA HA that's a joke. After talking with the lady on the phone and her answers given, I give them about 4 - 6 months and they will be done
I have been over to the Ideal loadboard and it is still not up and running yet at full capacity. As a matter of fact, Noelle has not signed in here since Jan 27 and I myself would like an update as to what is going on. She did say it would be about Feb 1st. I created a link in the sidebox for them

I signed up a couple of days ago, and didn't receive any email back. Maybe a call is due in? I know Noelle is back and forth out of state to visit with her father, who is terminally ill. I suspect that is why we haven't heard from her? Remind me to look for a phone number over there, I'll call! I do remember her saying they didn't expect it fully functional till possibly March!

I believe we were told it would be opened by the first of Feb., but just functioning...more so by March. Not sure what or why. Maybe I shouldn't be saying this just yet, , but they expect to be competitive with the two major load boards. So far as the brokers being the same, yes i imagine so. Same carriers too IF the above turns out to be so, free is a good deal, can't beat it with a stick. Only time will tell though, ya know?

Some of you might laugh at me but I have canceled paying for my credit search on industry folks to save money and gone with the freebrokercredit.com....I compared a few of the companies before canceling with ITS and they were pretty close as far as length until payments...It always bothered me paying for what I could get for free because in the search that they have you pay and thats about all you get, well you do get a rating and if there are nopays against them but if I am paying I want more like I want to know what people said about the nopays and the reasons behind them. I guess that is what the credit plus was for...and of course that would have cost even more money. It seems to me that those laod boards are all after every thin penny that they can squeeze out of us. Don't they realize that good customer service and deals count also....After all we in this industry do alot of business dealing by word of mouth to each other...you would think that they would consider that before taking searches away and such....I think it is bad business decision making on their part all for the sake of making the bucks....in the long run it may be better to concentrate on making current customers happy, rather then sending them off with such disregard...Sorry I was so long winded with this post....

To be honest I am tired of both ITS and GL board...they are not only clones of each other but the same people on both forums...Is there ever going to be other good load board choices in that price range?

I have looked for alternatives...and other than DAT and transcore (which my company doesn't like...) I haven't found anything that is currently up and running with enough members to make it worth it.
And this forum is hands-down better...so just stay here!

I cancelled all my load-boards last month. The last new broker load off ITS was in Sept. and forever on GL. Memebersedge was new to me, but really didn't find anything on it.

To me, load boards are like the commodity exchange for freight.
Its supply and demand pricing which is great for us when there are no trucks. Unless you are a top notch negotiator and find someone in a pinch you are going to get a bad paying load 95% of the time. I've found loads as bad as $.47 a mile full load for my trucks.
